Groove-cutting machines

Concrete expands and contracts constantly as it is exposed to temperature changes, the moisture content in air and drying of cement which results in shrinkage. Due to this process cracks may develop on concrete surfaces, and it is nearly impossible to prevent these cracks but can be controlled. Making grooves is one of the methods to insert contraction joints into slabs to guide the cracks along a predetermined line. Grooves are made within 48 hours after concreting is done and variety of groove cutting machinery is available in the market.
